I went to preferences and chose the new insurance setting. Now it seems to be applying insurance whether the customer checks the insurance box or not. Is this your idea of combined insurance.

No where in your announcement do you indicate that the option for insurance will be overridden.

Hello Dave,

Thanks for the heads up. We are looking into this now and trying to figure out what's triggering it. I'll keep you posted as to what we've discovered. No, this isn't Vendio's idea of "combined insurance." If your designated insurance settings are being overridden, then that's an error. Vendio does not allow you to set rules just to change them for you afterward. Thank you for your patience while we look into this.

So whould we turn off the combine insurnce until you get this strightened out? Just trying to prevent unhappy customers at checkout.

Mike,

I would hold off on turning anything off until we can confirm that there is in fact a global issue that would effect all users Vs just a specific user or specific group of settings.

Good morning!

The listing for the amethyst beads says this about insurance: "Insurance is available and highly recommended."

That makes it sound like insurance is optional, but when I click on the vendio link to checkout, it automatically figures it in for me, with no way that I can see to opt out of it.

Is insurance optional or required? If it is mandatory, your listings'
descriptions should state that more clearly. If it is optional, then checkout should allow a buyer to accept or reject it.

Thanks, and have a great week!

Lorri.

I see - it did not give me the option not to pay insurance so I'll just reduce it in paypal and no need to insure. Thanks!

My customers are freaking out. This translates in future lost sales. Since your announcement about the insurance every item I have launched specifies the shipping price which is a requirement of eBay Express. I don't care if I am the only one affected...fix it!!!

I have shut off the feature, however I will have problems next week as the auctions close that I specified for eBay Checkout.

I am extremely disappointed with Vendio once again.

Before I list anymore auctions using Vendio I must know the status of this problem in order to determine whether or not to continue listing with Vendio.

Is it too much to expect the courtesey of a responce. In 30 minutes I'll eithe start listing my evenings launches or begin porting them over to another management service.

You call this fixed?

Subtotal: $22.50
Shipping & Handling: $2.26
Insurance: $4.05
TOTAL: $28.81

Note the insurance is being added up, not combined!!!

Hello,

It is likely that this is happening as this auction was listed before the issue was corrected. I apologize for the inconvenience. Please let us know if you continue to experience this issue for listings that were posted after May 4th.

Thank you,
Nathan

Hello,

Just to add what Nate said, we also ran a few test transactions just a moment ago to confirm that issue and it is correct - items submitted since the fix are calculating the insurance properly for Dutch auctions.

Christopher
