Is there any way for me to automatically add a link in my shipping notices to the checkout page for my customer to check shipment status? The tracking status link is worthless. It doesn't give them information such as the date the item was shipped and the shipping method.

I guess you could just edit your default notice to include a link for the USPS, UPS, FeDex or DHL tracking website and tell the customer to copy and paste the tracking number out of the iship link line.

Wouldn't the Shipment notification Suffice? It does include when the item was shipped, as well as the carrier-and you can personalize that message to the customer. Also since you use calculated shipping, your buyer would have manually selected a shipping type. Regardless, I'll be happy to suggest to our design team that we provide those 2 pieces of information to the "check shipment status" for your buyers.

I figured out a way to modify the shipping notice so that it has all the info. I just wasn't looking in the right places!
Is there a tag like these:
%%TrackNumber%%
for the current date? i.e. It would show the date that I send the notice? Here's what I've done so far but I would like to take out the word "today" and have it put the date instead.
Your item has been shipped today via %%Carrier%% with a tracking number of %%TrackNumber%% and should arrive shortly.
One of the things that happens frequently to me is that if someone selects Parcel Post in their checkout it may be more convenient for me to ship it Priority Mail. I have noticed that there doesn't appear to be updating in the vendio information from the stamps.com site when I ship something. I would suppose that it is just a limitation of the system.
The default shipping notice didn't appear to state when the item was shipped, just that it had been. I might have modified the default though and messed that part up. I'm going to see if I can figure that part out....

It appears that once the notices have been modified there is no going back to the defaults? I can't find anything on the post management page that has the original notices or a reset button to go back to the default.
