On the ebay SYI from they have added a portion (this isn't recent) dealing with return policy. I don't see this on the Vendio form. Where do I find it/set my preferences so it will appear in all of my listings? TYIA

Hello,

Do you mean the return policy section near the top right of the eBay listing under "Buy Safely"? Unfortunately, at this time it is not possible to set this preference in your Vendio account. I will be happy to pass your message along as a suggestion to the product manager for evaluation. In the meantime, please use one of the Custom Sections in your "Custom Listing Text" under "My Account" to display your return policy.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Thank you,
Nathan

I mean the return policy that is on the SYI form. I wouldn't call this a "suggestion" as much as a "REQUIREMENT". It is not one of the items that is saved in ebay so must be entered each time.

When I went to revise an item I listed tonight (I have been seeing this for some time so I know it is not NEW) I got the following recommendation:
Listing analysis
Recommendation Details
Offer a return policy
Give buyers more confidence. 70% of shoppers say return policy is a very important factor in their purchase decision.

If 70% of the buyers think this is very important factor then I think Vendio sellers should be able to state it in the same place everyone else on ebay is using (and not as part of the custom listing text)! So yes, please forward it as a priority item to engineering.

Thanks

Since we do not have any free space in our Vendio store, I list the same return policy in all item descriptions (ebay store, Vendio store). It is recommended to state your return policy within each item description, AND, include with your invoice when item is shipped to buyer. Of course the Vendio invoice has the best available space branded with a Vendio logo, so I print my return policy on the reverse of the invoice. It appears that Vendio has different priorities than we sellers do.

Strange that we continue to accept and pay for things which are not beneficial to our business.

BUMP - I am nervous that at some point in the future ebay will require that this be filled in and then we will have to revise all of out store listings AGAIN!

If this is part of the SYI form it SHOULD be part of the Vendio listing form!

Mary Ann,

As Nathan mentioned in his previous post-your enhancement request has been recieved and forwarded to the appropriate team for review. As tomorrow is the 4th of July, please do not expect us to have an immediate answer from our design team on the likelyhood or timeframe to which this can be added.

Of course, we agree that any and all features available to sellers directly on ebay should be available on Vendio. We are working to make that happen. It takes time unfortunatly. I assure you that should ebay require sellers to have this feature in your listings, that Vendio would absolutely support that need.

Your patience is appreciated.

Regards,

Ed

Sorry Ed - I wasn't expecting an immediate reply this weekend. Someone on the EO board asked about where to put the return policy so I thought I would bump up the older thread to make sure it hasn't been forgotten. Thanks

I have been asking for item Condition: new/used in eBay Motors for at least six months now. It is extremely vital for me as I cannot list on eBay Express without condition of the item.

I'm really tired if manually changing the condition for all my listings with eBay bulk editor.

Also, I love spell checker, but each time I use word "eBay" it shows spelling error? Could you suggest to your development team that we all sell on eBay.

Jack

Hello,

With respect to Ebay Express, currently, we are unable to offer support for eBay Express for sellers in Media categories and eBay Motors Parts & Accessories due to a limitation in our interface. We are working to correct this as quickly as possible as we do understand the importance of this feature to our sellers.

With regard to our spell checker - to ignore capitalization issues like 'eBay' and 'PayPal' you can click on the 'Manage personal dictionary' link and check off the 'Use case-insensitive spelling' box.

We have a big list of enhancement requests. Our design team is doing it's best to accommodate all your requests. Considering that today is 4'th of July, please do not expect a fast update.

Sincerely,

Andreea

I don't expect VD to do anything on the 4th of July. It is an American Holiday.

I remember when we had two customer support people and I suspected one was actually repairing the zerox machine and saw a computer on. Thought he would have some fun. Great answers were given that day!

Lately it seems that the support folks have a chip on their shoulders. Almost defensive sounding.

I think it was Colin Powell who said don't confuse your ego with your position (meaning on an issue, not your job). If you do then it is hard to change it. When people critique VD (many of whom have used the product longer than some CS have been employed by the company), they are not critiquing you, just the product. It's not personal.

Now, Happy 4th, where-ever you are. US, India or Bangladesh.

Hello Jack,

I just found out that we recently released Item Specifics support for eBay Motors in SMME and SMIE. Item Specifics include Condition, so listings in
Parts & Accessories should be eligible for inclusion in eBay Express once Condition information is entered.

Listing in all Motors categories is now working properly, including those categories, such as Boats, which were failing lately due to the lack of Item Specifics support.

Sincerely,

Andreea
