Is there any way to write a decription or even a caption below each photo with Vendio? I'm listing an auction with 14 pictures, and I'd like to describe each picture.

Hello Debbie,

Unfortunately, we do not provide caption descriptions at this time. I can see that image captions would be helpful, and I will be happy to pass your message along to the product manager for evaluation.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any other questions or comments.

Regards,

Ed

Workarounds: If you have an image editing program you can type the caption right on the bottom of the picture, or make the background longer than the image on the bottom and type your caption on that. After you type, be sure to merge/flatten/combine all the image layers down into one layer if your program automatically creates new ones when you type or add background. Then when you save it, the caption will upload as part of the picture. If you make the background of the typing the same color as the background color of your template, it will appear to be typed under the picture on the background. You can also save and upload typed captions as separate images and attach them in order so one is under or over the picture it goes to, but it is harder to get the spacing good that way.

Another work around would be to insert the images with HTML rather than attaching through Vendio. For a practice board I pend an auction and use the HTML editor to get listings like I want them. This is the HTML for inserting images inside your listing descriptions: <img src="http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/VENDIOUSERNAME/IMAGENAME.jpg">
(this is for actual sized images - not click to enlarge).A simple <br> after the image HTML will put the caption under the image - you can click the "HTML" editor and get the font and placement you want through the editor without messing with HTML. Don't forget to attach a gallery the normal way and skip the image attachment.
