Last week, 10/6/06, I had 10 auctions list with ebay gallery, when it was not chosen.

Tonight, 10/9/06, I listed 5 auctions without ebay Gallery and all 5 auctions appear with a gallery picture.

The auction #s are:
300036913047
300036913061
300036913077
300036936807
300036936810

The auction #s for 10/6 were:
300035695874
300035695910
300035695943
300035695959
300035695976
300035722146
300035722183
300035722275
300035722282
300035722297

Now, this is costing me money. The total is $5.25 for the 15 auctions. I'll take a credit in that amount to my account, please.

When will this and the fixed rate shipping problem be fixed? I can't list to my store, and I can't list to auction, without some form of a problem appearing.

William,

We have done some investigation into the problem you're reporting. At this time we feel that the error is originating on eBay's side, as we have checked our API logs and in all instances have found that we did -not- submit a request to activate the eBay Gallery if this option was not selected in the listing. We have filed a case with the eBay developer team and we hope that they will be able to resolve the issue shortly. We will continue to look at this to ensure that the problem was indeed not related to a 'bug' in our system, but again, all evidence at this time points to the issue being on eBay's side. We would urge you to contact them about this.

Regards,

Ed

I have been having the same problem for the past 5-6 days. I got the same answer. I am currently in contact with eBay about it. They first said it has to do with the Vendio side because it is submitting it as selecting the gallery but they are currently forwarding it to their technical team to look at it immediately. I will let you know what happens if it is resolved.

Ok I have some good and bad news. The bad news, is the problem is not fixed yet. The good news is I think eBay is working on it right now as I speak. My issue is a bit different as I am not being charged for the gallery image so hopefully they will fix it soon to help you out. This is what I got after the ebay live help went to technical support:
Okay, I've just heard back on the issue and it seems like I was in error - I apologize for that. This actually is the result of a larger eBay issue where the gallery image is being accidentally selected when it is not supposed to apply - however, no actual charge applies for the gallery image itself. I've submitted your listing as an example of this problem to make sure it can be fixed as soon as possible, and thank you for bringing this to our attention - and for the interim as you weren't charged for the Gallery option, then you shouldn't have any issues with this auction (or other auctions in a similar capacity too)

Hello,

Thanks for the note. Unfortunately this is often an eBay rep's first line of defense it seems, but were used to being 'guilty until proven otherwise' by now (as im sure are other 3rd party providers).

We did have a bug logged with the eBay developer team and glad to hear that its getting attention.

Let us know if you have any other questions on this issue.

Regards,
Christopher
