I am trying to upload new images with the same name as old ones. I am trying to make some of my images smaller so they fit on the page better with the ebay category frame on the side of the listing (and sometimes to straighten out a crooked image etc). I just tried a batch and many of them came up with the error: "Cannot overwrite existing image with same name". I have never had any trouble doing this is the past - is there a change. (NOTE: These are ebay store listings with no bidders)

Hello Mary Ann,
Well, we have never allowed multiples of the same image (filename) to be uploaded. We do this to enusure that you aren't charged over and over for the same image. When I try to upload an image with the same filename, I'm provided a warning that allows me to give it another file name or Replace current online image.

Yes Ed - that is what normally happens. I usually am given the option to rename the file or to replace the image with a new one (that is what I wanted to do because the old images are too wide). There were several that did not get that far - I got a red "failed to load" message and then the error message with no opportunity to decide what I wanted to do.
This process saves me a lot of time because I don't have to revise listings but can merely replace the images by uploading ones with the same name.
