Hi there, I use Amazon Honor Payments and it's a damn good way for your customers to pay you by credit card. Problem is they charge 15% commission.
I would like to start a campaign to get them to lower the commission and/or use a sliding scale fee; will you join me?
Write or email or fax the following:

Jeff Bezos, (or anyone on the Board of Directors)
1200 12th Avenue South, Suite 1200
Seattle, WA 98144
Phone: 206-266-1000
Fax: 206-266-1821

We need alternatives to payment methods that won't kill us in the earnings department; thanks all.

some of us are not even aware of such program until you posted.
if the rate is too high, why are you using it??
there are cheaper alternatives ??
i know on amzn marketplace ,15% is what amzn wants, thats all i know.
i also know many book sellers would rather not have their zshop inventory included in marketplace due to that 15%.

Dear Ask,
I am asking for support, not a lecture. The commission is high now but if enough people write Amaz we should be able to put pressure on them.
The Honors Payment System was initially set up for donation to non-profs, but anybody can use it. It's a good efficient way to get money; customers simply click the link that's at your web site: see below, you paste this on your web site and it jumps to Amazon's site and customer enters the amount of money you want to "donate".
But 15% is way too high. I only use it for an over $500 billing. Little amounts I no longer use it for.

i am sorry if i come across as i am lecturing,it is just not too many are aware of this program ,you can judge from the number of responses you received??
may be you can post this on paypal board or billpoint board or ebay board and get more attention, they will ask you the same question-why are you using it if you dont like its fee, paypal, billpoint, yahoo paydriect, aol paydirect, bidpay, paymentech etc etc ?
may be you can ask amzn to justify why its fee is so much higher than its competitors?
paypal has a logo you can place on your site called web accept and when your customer click on it,it will take them to paypal to make payment and it is a lot cheaper!!

I highly recommend PayPal, if you use their credit card for all your purchases, sell over $1000 a month it only runs about .7% and you get interest so it's almost free by the time your done.
