I have over a year of experience at Amazon and I built a db of over 3,000 items very quickly by just finding my products on Amaxon.com and putting "sell yours here". I could do several HUNDRED a day, but with Vendio it wil be much slower than this...
Now that we are starting over with Vendio, the first thing I notice is that Vendio DOES NOT just use the ASIN which I have in my flat file and simply put it up on Amazon with the Price, Condition, Condition Notes, Qty and "Presto it's DONE" like on Amazon itself.
Instead, Vendio has made this MUCH MORE COMPLICATED now I must enter:
1. A Category drill down which takes forever to figure out even one product MANUALLY each time?? And you can't even re-use category numbers or have SHORTCUTS SAVED and do this quicker. WHY?? Any ASIN on amazon is already under the category category, I should not ever have to re-enter this information again
2. Product Type? This is ASIN SPECIFIC and absolutely not necessary, if you just take any ASIN from Amazon, and put my minor info under it, you don't need any of this information. Once you have the ASIN, you have ALL AVAILABLE information you are ever going to put on a product: Qty, Price, Condition, Condition Notes!
3. Qty for sale? WHERE ARE THE FIELDS for these mundate pieces of information NOT ALLOWED IN THE FLAT FILE EXPORT?
I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO RE-ENTER ANY INFORMATION MANUALLY ONCE I HAVE IMPORTED MY FLAT FILE, DUH, PROGRAMMERS!!! Any necessary edits should be done in my spread sheet program, where they can be done IN BULK, 1,000's at at time. We are POWER SELLERS, not One-At-A-Time flunkies who want to do this crap all over again on 25,000 items!!
4. Product Tax Code? This should be stored IN THE PROFILE, and should never need to be redone or entered again after this, or it should be in the flat file.
What I am SUPPOSED to be able to do is create a flat file with ASIN, Condition, Condition Price, Notes, and Qty, then load it up to Vendio and simply post it to Amazon.
I SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO DO ANYTHING WITHIN THE VENDIO CONSOLE EXCEPT JUST LAUNCH THE PRODUCTS TO THE MARKETPLACE!!

good question, im hopping they answer you soon cause im very interested in this topic too.
specially the items or products info and default picture, i have about a year trying to build my vendio store but everytime i hit import from amazon and i get all these items without a picture or item default description i just quit.
if im selling a lamp and the universal description for this item is ( to lite up a room) why do i have to retype it and then go find the default picture for the item ect for all my items
