Check this out: tonight my husband was ready, willing, and able to buy a book on Amazon auctions. He found the link on the record in the regular Amazon database. We looked at it together because he had a question about the shipping. We clicked on the auction, and it said that someone had bought it for the "take it" price! So why was it STILL THERE?
What good does that do for the buyer except cause irritation? I reminded him to check half.com where there were 2 copies available, and probably more will show up soon and drive the price down even more.

When buyers use Take-it price, it sometimes disappears from Open right away, and other times it stays there for a couple hours. Sorry you had that experience.
