Attn: Auctionwatch
Please remove the "forced" addition of shipping charges. It is very difficult for a seller to determine shipping prices as some items weigh over 5 pounds and if they do weigh over 5 pounds, the delivery price will depend on the destination (zip code) of the buyer.
If I have to estimate shipping charges and I estimate too high, it can scare off potential bidders. I advertise that buyers will pay actual shipping charges and then you force me to list a shipping price.
Please remove the forced shipping entry and all those who agree with me please reply.
Thanks, Lorrie

pristinecollectibles,
I just did an auction through Auction Manager about 1 hour ago and I didn't see any forced shipping info... I did see that I could voluntarily add it.
If you are seeing something different than me and you haven't resolved the issue, please post in the AuctionWatch.com Services forum for assistance. The Customer Care Reps are here to serve you.
I just listed another auction and under shipping it gives me two option. 1. seller pays shipping or 2. buyer pays fixed amount and then I have to put in a dollar amount or it won't let me continue.
Perhaps you should check the auction you just listed and make sure it doesn't say that the seller will pay shipping.

Hi Again,
You had me worried for a sec! I went and checked and what I did was chose "buyer pays fixed amount" and I checked the box for buyer to see item description for shipping and it shows up this way on Ebay:
"Buyer pays fixed shipping charges, Will ship to United States only, See item description for shipping charges"
I will make the suggestion that they give the option of seeing the item description and not having to make another choice as well. I see your point.
I look forward to auctionwatch.com making the changes and giving us the choice again whether or not to post shipping charges. I know auctionwatch.com cares... so perhaps next time they will run a survey or something for its sellers to vote on something like that?... or maybe even have people who sell stuff on the sites look at possible format changes?
