Got an email saying I'm approaching my Amazon Payments limit. No problem. Had it before. However, I am a little concerned because to read through their FAQ on Payments, it says that induvidual payment limits range between 500 and 2500 per 28 day cycle. Problem is, according to their email from the last time I had to email, I'm already at 2500. Now, I know there's a lot bigger sellers than me online, and to throw an extra wrench into the system, I'm a Canadian operating with a US Internet account (they did say that if I could find a way to get a US account, being on Amazon was okay, but I still get a little apprehensive about the mighty hand of Jeff Bezos coming down on me).
They ask for my phone number, do they ever actually call? (won't even get into the fact that I don't sit around here all day waiting for people to call. I DO have a job). Can any other large Canadian sellers shed a little insight? canvid? (not to put ya on the spot, but I know you're decent size)

I am not Canadian so can't comment on that aspect of it. However they increased my limit to $5000 a month ago (and this is much much more than what I have been doing in sales), so the FAQ is clearly out-of-date in terms of upper limits. In terms of phone number they have you call an automated verification number from your home phone (although that probably wouldn't work overseas).

Amazon sets what they call a "velocity limit". That is the dollar amount of payments you can receive in any 30 day period, mind you, not a calendar month. To update/increase your payment velocity try calling 1-877-608-2673 for automated service. Try calling 1-877-243-2912 to speak to a real live person. Hope this helps some.
