These past few weeks have been awful for deadbeats on Amazon. Anyone else having similar problems? For the longest time, my deadbeat percentage was well below what it was on ebay, but now I think it's about the same. Going to keep Amazon busy posting FVF credits here if it doesn't turn around.
Your not the only one....Me too. Has been very bad lately. I think because of the status of Amazon itself....People take their obligation less seriously than before.
Business is very bad on Amazon anyway. Look at the boards here. People don't even bother to post anymore. They did it to themselves though. Never thought in a million years I would see something so dumb from a company like Amazon....
Not a whole lot you can do about it though. I pondered throwing people into collection. I have done that on and off over the years when I had my store, etc..., I spoke with Amazon about it and they gave me the email that my collection agency could contact them with. However....Business sucks so bad it is not worth it right now.
I had one guy bid on 8 items and not follow through. Had 3 more people last week......
Even though it seems futile...I still hammer them in feedback. Maybe it will save another seller some trouble.
I don't know if you have ever thrown people into collection? It works a lot of the time. There are a lot of agencies that handle small dollar items. Depending on your State laws...You can also administer a hefty collection fee and penalties. If your considering staying in on-line auctions, and am sick of the twits that don't pay.....Look into it. I will lend any advice I can.

HOW are my deadbeats? Thanks for asking, they're fine, thanks. They email all the time and say, "hi! I won the bid on your rare, h-t-f widget, I do not intend to pay, but......HEY! I am fine!" (sarcasm, ok? I'm not that good at it)
I have had a HUGE drop in deatbeats since Marketplace started. I actually had a file box of these losers on a shelf near my monitor, it actually has the label "DEADBEATS" on it! I'm not kiddin'. The box has about 200 names on file in case I want to check if they have stiffed me before. But lately zero new ones have been added. The worst that has happened in Marketplace is a buyer will email me "will you please cancel my order? I thought that was the super-glossy-coffeetable- signed- by-author All-Time Greatest Bathroom Jokes book." It is no problem to me...... gives me an oportunity to email a quick form letter that says
"Hi, thanks for writing. It will be no problem at all to cancel that order, it hasn't been sent yet. Below is my usual thank-you notice so you will get a peek at my usual style of doing business! I hope you'll 'drop in' my shop again real soon, I have auction, zShop and Marketplace items. Here is a link so you can find me.........."
