On Monday, Amazon and America Online entered into an alliance to supplement a pact they formed in 1997. Under the new partnership, Amazon will power the shopping function of AOL, while AOL would be the exclusive ISP promoted by Amazon.
"We think this is a big win for our platform services group. We're thrilled AOL chose us," Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos told analysts.

does it mean all shops will now be under amzn umbrella, which means one click is the choice payment methods??
may be all amzn and aol merchants will use aol as the internet service provider -say we sign on via aol, then land on amzn turf and start selling??
exclusive internet service provider??
powered by amzn??
i have never been impressed by aol shopping so i would think aol shops can gain more visibility by being under amzn which is internet rather than aol?
if so,aol will be sending traffic to amzn.
how would amzn thank aol??
by making everyone who does business with amzn use aol as provider???
aol quick cash and one click payment

use amzn technology to create aol webstore!!
i am an AOL subscriber for 5 years,i use aol to access the internet, most of aol content does not interest me.
why loiter within aol when one can surf internet??
may be a corridor from aol to amzn for aol members??
aol does need a good shopping site, like the saying-if you dont entertain your members, someone will entertain them.
same goes for shopping-be it window shopping or buying.
