I really don't think this is very nice of you. How can you honestly be angry. He went to all the trouble of finding your auction, getting the image source and then putting it into his own auction! This seller went to a great amount of trouble, and you repay the efforts by defacing his auction....for shame.

flashv, you go!!!

That's pathetic... with all his feedback, tell me he doesn't know that bandwidth theft is illegal. Turn him into ebay, too!

NCC1701D - you forgot to say he also went to the trouble of not paying my Auctionwatch fees

NCC - I think he deserves it 100%. What about the seller??? The seller is the one who went through all the trouble of scanning pics or taking pics with a digital camera, downloading the pics, putting them on their server, and he should get away with STEALING their pics?

Ebay also states it is against their POLICY to steal someone else's images.

To hear someone say it's ok to steal someone else's hard work... boggles my mind... what kind of person would say it's ok to do that?

Now THAT is a shame....

Thats true he didn't - that was so kind of you to not have him do that - of course I am just kidding in my last post....I thought it was hilarious what you did to that guy. But wait.... I bet ebay will get mad at you for violating some rule....

If I found someone did that to me without asking my permission to use my pictures, I would have replaced it with something like:

THIS ITEM WILL BE FREE TO THE HIGH BIDDER! BID REAL HIGH TO TRY AND WIN THIS!

Hey kiddies!

It's RUDYAUB...the seller of said auction!

Listen, I just got finished wiping my tears for the supposed "theft" of your photo...I'm really sorry for your loss...

As far as the 20 cents...sorry about that, wasn't aware of it...I won't be using you photo anymore.

As far as linking photo's...what kind of crack are you on to think I'm going to photograph every single of my 700 items when they are all there for the linking?

By the way...thanks for the laugh and the free advertising.

It's not crack! It's common sense. You auction it, you take the pictures. You don't STEAL them!

Any honest and decent seller would take their own pics. And if they couldn't, they would have the common decency to ask permission to use another seller's pictures.

Enough said.

Edited to add:

FLASH: Since this is how the seller feels, why not post a link to this thread on that pic for all the world to see how this seller operates?

Hey RUDYAUB...

Don't think the type of advertising you are getting here is good.

Why shouldn't you do your own pictures? Everyone else does.

It may be against ebay Policy to use some one elses auction picture, But it so isn't auction interference and surely defaceing someone elses Auctions listing as well if your statement about all the pictures being stolen isn't true in the end this seller will have the last word and laugh they may be suspended but two wrongs don't make a right when they catch up with who the code for this auction is link to that person too maybe suspended as well.

as well I think auction watch might here some words about this as well...

Consider the source: this seller has had 20 negs in the past 6 months & 10 neutrals. Complaints range from items never arriving to abusive emails to trying to sell an item after it has already been won in an auction.

And its 316 auctions, not 700, so he's prone to exaggeration, too.

The owner of the photo has every right to alter it as he/she wishes. If someone steals it, the thief should have no rights and ebay should have no say either since they aren't hosting the image.

Ha ha! Nice work. Turn the scum in to eBay. Last time that happened to me, the picture I substituted wasn't so tame. Let's just say it would have made a Sodomite blush. Then I notified eBay and all the thief's auctions were moved to the Adult category. LOL!

The seller definitely deserves that!!!

Hats off to you!

dman, you're wrong.

The owner of the photo has only changed their own photo. The dude who stole it is the one responsible for what happens on his auction page. The owner can do what he wants with his photos -- he's not beholden to the thief to keep it nice and pretty.

And besides -- there IS a matter of the $0.20 THEFT as well. On principle, I'd bring up charges.
