Yikes, I dont think you are suppose to identify buyers/sellers on these boards. You might want to check out the paypal forum....lots of good info on that board that may help you.

i would think this is something paypal can do more than ebay can?
why is this con artist so stupid ,he is leaving obvious trails behind by going thru paypal??
he should have asked you to send him cash or money order?
asking ebay to trace is difficult, anyone can browse on ebay and copy email addresses .

"How do we get through to Ebay that they care about NO ONE but their profits?? News media, boycott, ????"

Please explain further how this is eBay's fault? They cannot control private email between two people.

I'm guessing that you're blaming them because you never received the EOA email from them, HOWEVER, you could log in once the auction closed and check the sellers REGISTERED email address before payment.

Also, I'm assuming here, BUT you must be using your email addy as your username, OR the paypal request came through eBay's forwarding system. If the first happened, CHANGE your USERID now, and you'll avoid this prob in the future. If the second, why didn't that raise a red flag for you?

I think your resolution rests with paypal on this one. If you used a credit card, FILE A CHARGEBACK IMMEDIATELY. If you used your paypal balance or your bank account, I'd email paypaldamon. [email protected].

He is monitoring these boards fairly regularly and is the ONLY paypal employee that has EVER responded to me.

Good Luck! and IMO - Cut Ebay a bit of slack on this one!! <smile>

The only reason for posting this person info is because he took me for over $90.00 and I am trying to warn other people so they do not also get ripped off. This is out and out theft and fraud. And the pmt request came through a seemingly legitimate PayPal pmt request as all the previous ones have.

It's good that you want to warn people but posting this information here will probably get you moderated and this thread deleted.
