There are many more auctions which were listed this morning, though. Many have ended at high prices with "Buy it Now" or are three-day auctions ending Friday. Auctions for things like rubble have been deleted.
Nothing like trying to profit from tragedy. (Not the auction referenced above, but those listed after the attack.)

I've never done anything on eBay that wasn't above board. I saw a listing from a seller that set my butt on fire. He'll regret his money grabbing attempts... that I promise.

One thing about this type of auction is that the bidders tend to deadbeat on them. I recall hearing about that for auctions of memorabilia relating to the golfer (?) whose plane crashed a couple of years ago. People bid the auctions up high, then lost interest and never paid.

This never ceases to amaze me whenever there is a tragedy in this country there are always those who will take advantage of the situation and sell stuff related to the event. But then there are the buyers. People can’t sell if others aren't willing to buy and it always seems like there is plenty of people willing to snatch up the stuff.
Check out all the auctions that have been listed today for items related to the WTC. Unbelievable what some of the prices these listing are getting

Anyone who would list an item regarding todays disaster to sell or who would buy anthing to do with it should never be bought from or sold to again. Anyone who profits from this is a disgrace to the human race. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.

I've been wondering what the rhyme or reason is for some of the auctions they are killing. I can understand some of them like world trade center bomb debris. That's just bad taste. I've also seen items like pennies from those machines that squash and roll out the pennies and imprint them with a die. A bunch of those were cancelled. A lot of tourist-type items were also cancelled. The announcement board doesn't have anything on bans of specific types of items.

I don't care if people want to buy, I don't care if people have items to sell. ALL OF THESE auctions need to be shut down. Especially the auctions listed since the tragedies of this morning. End of discussion.
My two cents worth.
