I received a similar e-mail voodoo curse this morning too, Katmommy.
Since I rarely post in the EO nowadays (prior to last night, my last post had been a month ago) and as far as I know last night's thread (now WOMD) was the first time Katmommy and I have been in the same thread together, it's obvious who the sender is - particularly since Katmommy and I both berated the same poster in the thread.
It was a cowardly thing to do... but then most bullies are cowards.

I'm curious to those who got this childish crap..how was the email addressed to you? Mine was addressed to katmommy@***.com but came into my main email address (which is totally differant) I JUST use for auctions.

Mine was sent to [email protected] it is the only email address I have.
One of the people suggested on this thread would not have sent that to me, but the other, well, it was a, cheesy, thing to do.

mcjane, I don't think cheesemanmike would have any reason to send me a voodoo email since we were constantly on the same page as far as the other individual was concerned.
Unless somebody sees this as a joke, a very sick joke.
I definitely did not appreciate mine either.
how did they get all of the emails? can you get contact info through AW?

Rarriffle: My e-mail address is in my profile. The thread that seemed to trigger the e-mails disappeared yesterday morning. So did the feuders. I suspect they both were suspended because of their comments and/or threats.

This is why its best to never use your auction id/or user name, or email addy on a chat board.
It's too bad that people can not just say... Lets agree to disagree and leave it at that.
Best to use a yahoo or hot mail addy for your profile, just to many nut cases out there.
Do not let it get you all down.

My address is not in my profile, I am very protective of my online identity since I received a threat here before. I received one of these messages too, but all of my AW goes to an aol screenname that can not be traced to me. I simply blocked anything coming from the domain, so I don't think I will receive anything else, but I wonder how they got my email address, is there a security problem at AW?

I just received the e-mail twice and I don't show my e-mail in my profile and I never have. Maybe the head honchos at AW are cursing us all? Or there is a security problem? Very strange!

I just received 16 emails, from sites ranging from incontinence help to organ donation. all thanked me for my interest in signing up on their site!!!!
whoever the sick fool is that is doing this better think long and hard about what they are doing.
nycyn, if this is you and you are monitoring this thread (which I know you are), a little jail time might clear your head.

Someone at AW posted a link to this site a couple of years ago. Note: The page takes a while to load. Once loaded, just click on a pin and then click anywhere on the doll.
If your feeling a need to vent, this is a safe way to do it and it doesn't involve anyone else or invade their privacy.

It is hard to believe that such sick puppies hang out here at times and what will give certain people pleasure. Amazing!
