I'm unaware also of any rate change. I feel like a mushroom - kept in the dark and fed crap all day. Someone from AW get in here and let us know if there are rate changes.

Perhaps they are talking about the small listing fee plus a couple of graphics. I think I pay a fair fee for a good product, and never expect any "free" service to be FREE, if it is going to last. Why do some people get so upset and bent out of shape when a good service provider has to be profitable to stay in business? Never could understand it.

Sorry about the confusion. Its not a fee increase, its the elimination of the Flat $200 plus 5 cent per launch Power Plan.
We do not expect a free lunch. We just want enough left from our sales to buy lunch.
Thanks Again

I hear ya, harmony. I happen to be a type and size of seller that fits into their plans fairly economically. Dave.

harmonygrove,
I am guessing that you are on the current yearly power plan (the one where we paid $200.00 for a years subscribtion and had no final value fees). This plan expires on March 14th. However... don't throw in the towel yet! AuctionWatch sent out e-mails saying that they're working on a NEW yearly power plan that should be released before the current plan expires in March. This plan was also supposed to cost $200.00 a year, and have no final value fees.... but it would not allow users to use some of the "Special" features of auctionwatch (such as WBN, post-sale management, etc...) All the important stuff, (inventory, picture hosting, scheduled hosting) is still supposed to be included in this plan. So... keep your eyes out for AW's announcement. It should be coming soon!

I only wish that I had so much business that my AW fees were in excess of $200 per year. Oops, no I don't, because I would have to quit my regular job.

Spare-Dollar Re-visited:
I was very skeptical when I saw the first post here about 10 days ago, but, after trying for 10 days, I'm a very happy boy
FREE for now with future plans of AT MOST a monthly flat fee of $5.00/month for all services.
Tomas provides QUICK support via email and his boards!
He isn't in the AW or CA league yet, as there is no API and the lister has no scheduler, BUT...
For us small-fry trying to handle 10-20 auctions/week WITHOUT GOING BROKE, SD is worthy of consideration!

My yearly plan expires in April and have also been weighing options...including the Spare Dollar . I actually liked their customer service and I'm hoping they'll add the scheduler before my plan expires. That's a feature I really like. I'm just starting to pick up on my quantity of sales - hoping to do about 600 a week, so I don't want to give up AW's WBN feature. I find I really need it to keep myself organized. We'll see how it goes.
Good luck HarmonyGroove!

tomwiii, do you know if putting items in the sd gallery that are already listed with AW (same ebay venue)will be charged by AW for hosting? The site looks interesting... think I'll try it here and there. THANKS!

Looks very promising and that is where we are heading.
See y'all there.

I too was looking to leave AW because of the fees changes. I too was going to go to SD but I NEED TO SCHEDULE AUCTIONS! Then the NEW announcement from AW about the new annual power plan came and I thought GREAT. My problem is AW has avoided answering my questions since the announcement.
NOW with only 11 days left, and still no answers. I don't know what to do. If I were to go somewhere else, I do not know how to get my pictures from AW to wherever and of course AW will not tell me that!
Any idea when SD will have scheduling?

RichieRich,
SD advised in their bulletin board that scheduling was planned within 30 days and that was about 2-3 weeks ago.
Best to save those pictures on disc. We are leaving behind over 1,500 images on AW.
We also got the announcement from AW about the Special Renewal Offer and have not heard squat since then. We are already waiting until the 11th hour to decide. AW made it easier by not following up on their generous offer of paying the same for less services.

HECK after looking at the calendar I have 9 days left! YUCK!
They sent me an email with this link:
http://www.auctionwatch.com/pricing
They also stated in the email that I had to sign up before my plan expired in one spot and in another part said I had up to 15 days after it expired.
BUT they still have no answered my questions from when the announce first came out!
HOW do I get my 1317 images from AW?

I've had to move images in the past, but you have to do it one at a time. You need to click on them to make them the "big size", and then right click and save them to your hard drive and then upload them to the new site. A big pain if you have a lot to move. I'll only move the ones I know I'll use again and just delete the rest so no one steals them before AW deletes them.

I got very tired of having to combine mutiple auctions manually for my customers. The fees I didnt know any better about because I only ran a few auctions a week. When I Increased volume I needed something more up to date in features and price. Another AW' er turned me on to Channeladvisor.com Its all business and takes awhile to learn but they have all the toys and I pay around 20 a month . They have a yearly plan if you want to pay once and get the discount. Its also flat rate with no cut of your sales. AW is easier to use but their system is out of date and the sales revenue share is about as attractive as a one legged dog.

RichieRich - this may help you to get your images.
I hate to admit it, but have you ever used AMPro?
If not, download AMPro. Install it. Then synchronize it to AW.
After this is done (and I hope you use DSL), it will fill an AMPro folder with all of your images (x:\Program Files\AuctionWatch\images)
You can then upload these to SD - 10 at a time.
Good luck!

ihula: are you talking about launching 600 auctions/week?
If you are, then SD has a ways to go before it will handle that kind of volume!
Remember, there is no scheduler...so, each auction has to be made & then launched! Hopefully the scheduler will be here within the next 10 days -- it's not really a biggie to me & my 20/week
I do feel that Tomas has made a FANTASTIC START in a very short time!

I just heard from SD.
Scheduling should be within TWO WEEKS!
I list at least 100 auctions a week. My concern is the 20mb limit for photos. I have about 3 photos with each auction. BUT SD said they would work with me when I get close to my limit. If I join them.
In the next couple of months they will start charging. It should be around $5 a month NO FVF!

I'm hoping to do 600 items next week. I may be dreaming. Right now I do about 100/week, and me and my husband both work full time (I will probably take a vacation day next week). I have a shipment arriving on Monday with 600 items on it, and I have my "dream shipment" of goods coming in 3 weeks to the supplier. I put a deposit on it, but don't have the full amount of money yet, so I'm thinking I have to list all of this Monday stuff to get the money in time for the "dream shipment". (I have my mom as a back-up, but you know how it is when you borrow money from "mom" . I'm thinking spare dollar can't handle that volume yet - although I did like their site. My yearly plan isn't up with AW until April so I have a little more time, but I'm still panicing....getting a headache just thinking about it
