Well, I can't believe that Jack's posting privileges were suspended. Maybe he is busy elsewhere.
He only made a couple of comments in the thread that I can remember in the "Guess Someone can't take the heat" thread. He just said, "Sorry, I don't put down any Vet of any war. Nor do I put down any particular branch of the service." He added that he would not be replying to any further responses and that he was done with this silliness.
How can anyone be suspended for that?

I miss Jack too. His funny SHOUTING and his outlook on life and all the silly stuff he came up with made the Message Center and AuctionWatch a lot more fun.

C'mon AuctionWatch, three of the four that you suspended didn't belong here in the first place. Two are not even allowed on Ebay and the third was here to cause touble. However, JACKSWEBB is a bonafide Ebay seller who contributes (in caps) very much to this forum, and that's the very reason for this message board, to exchange valid ideas and opinions about doing business on Ebay. You made a good start on cleaning up the board, but you caused a little collateral damage in this case when you nuked Jack. Diana, do the right thing an give him another chance. Thanks for listening.

I was unfortunate enough to have read at least a part of the post that Jack initiated which got himself and others suspended. It was obnoxious to say the least and IMO all that participated except those who posted to complain should have been suspended. I agree that Jack is fun and informative but he went WAY over the line this time.
Others participated just to flame a fire and it got way out of hand REAL fast. Despite his popularity, Jack was wrong and rightfully suspended but I do hope he will be given another chance.

I hope the suspension is only Temp.
Jack's a real kick in the butt, and the caps mean nothing,no big deal.
I only hope he's using this time to catch up on his Anger Management Classes
That will prevent the same in the future, if and when he comes back.

I don't think Jack needs any anger management classes. If any one of us had another follow us from topic to topic just to make cutting little remarks I wonder how long we would ignore it before striking back?
All of us can predict that we will react a certain way to a certain situation but truthfully we never really know until we are put in that position, do we?
Jack has always seemed like a happy go lucky person to me. In all the years I have been here I have never seen anyone else take the crap like he has yet he has always remained upbeat and has come bouncing back. That says a lot!
And yes, I hope he comes back here soon!

Let Jack stay away. Personally, I hated the all caps anyway. Besides, he took credit where credit wasn't due. And that was in the zip code thing on ebay. I personally know that many were working on that problem long before Jack. I am talking in terms of years. It was only when the pressure that more sellers were putting on ebay when the USPS did the zone priority shipping changes. I personally use UPS for most of my items because of weight and have needed zip codes well before the USPS thing. UPS and many other companies have used zoned shipping for years.
JACK, STAY AWAY. At least until you can figure out how to type.

THE THREADS REALLY WON'T BE THE SAME, LET HIM BACK IN. NO ONE IS PERFECT, AND THAT LITTLE THING "FREEDOM OF SPEECH" HE FOUGHT FOR THAT MORE THEN WE DID, SO LET HIM BACK.

Jack gave a very graphic description of why he used all caps. He lost his arm in a fire fight in the Republic of South Vietnam from an AK47 round. That is an acceptable reason to use all caps on a message board. When some posters suggested that he create a sig or signature file automatically attached to every post explaing why he uses all capital letters he misunderstood their intentions or didn't know what a sig file was and said lots of auction descriptions have all caps in them.
Usually Jack edited his fierey posts after a while but on the 16th he left them unedited and when viewed by the moderator she made the determination that he had crossed the line and deleted the threads and awarded the suspensions.

tooltimes, never did Jack say that he lost his arm! He was wounded in his shoulder he said.
Jack knows what a sig file is. He has used a sig file quite often such as the one where he was only five and wrote with a crayon and his present one about the beat goes on. I think it was his choice not to put on the file that he was wounded.
Anyways, all this speculation about what Jack said and what Jack did is kind of silly as Jack isn't here to say it himself.
tooltimes, you have friends in AW management that have verified the suspension and why it was done? You seem to know a lot about it.
