Thank you, Fetish - you gave me the biggest laugh I have had in weeks!
I think Toys for Tots is a wonderful idea, and just couldn't understand the response on the other thread...(I think you know who I mean)
After that thread settled down, I saw this one and held my breath! Thank you for lightening it up sooo much - I know the old bearded guy would appreciate it!

Although not *directly* related to eBay, there are many of us that ARE interested in charities.
I have read some threads in the past where sellers have asked about what to do with items that don't sell on eBay. I donate mine - there is a thrift shop here that is operated by CASA, and the mothers and children are very thankful for what they receive, anytime of the year.
Excuse me, Quickdraw? Don't like this thread? Don't read it! Don't post to it! Use the ignore feature! Isn't that your advice to others who *whine*?

Everything is inderectly related to ebay bt that doesn't mean it belongs here.
This thread should have been started, "if you have excess toy inventory and are looking for a way to unload it, Toys For Tots can use it." Not, "Exederine is giving $1.00 for every toy given to Toys for Tots...."

Don't like AW rules, don't come here. Don't post threads, don't read them. Go to sites who don't have rules.

here you go, fetish...
I was just on the phone with a friend of mine who is also a seller on eBay. She sells a considerable amount of toys, and was telling me that she had a buyer who purchased 4 different things from her; and when it came time to combine the shipping for the auctions, the woman asked her if she would waive the shipping/handling fee and just drop the toys in the Toys for Tots bin at the PO on her next trip. What a beautiful gesture and wonderful idea!
ps - there really IS a Santa Claus!

Trai...
Lolpimp...That has to be one of the most appropriately placed posts since AW first opened the message boards.
Also, I'm glad this thread started. It just jogged my memory of a couple boxes of toys that I've accumulated over the last year from box lots I've gotten at auction. They're sitting out in the garage gathering dust, so now I know what to do with them. Dontcha just hate it when you have to buy a whole box full of stuff you don't want at auction just to get to one Blue Willow or Spode plate?
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

Giving to others is never over with.
Also remember that teenagers get forgotten at times because it's more fun to buy toys for little kids. So you can donate some jewelry or something for them, also gifts for the less fortunate Moms and Dads.

I think most of us realize that giving doesn't end at Christmas. But many get busy during the rest of the year and it can be easy to forget about others.
So this is a great time of the year to remind all of us again about the spirit of giving. It's a special time to remember, that's all and it shouldn't bother you like it seems to.

I may as well post this email here since it is a story about giving gone astray.
"I bought the item just to receive feedback. I am sorry I have given you a feedback, it's been one month and you haven't left me feedback. That is plain rude, either leave me my feedback or i'll make a complaint to ebay happy holiday."
Isn't that why most people give gifts at Christmas, they don't want to be rude?

I don't wait to be reminded, I find something that I think will be a great gift, and I give it right then, not on a designated day.
Moronpole, Just because I don't belive in something doesn't mean I'm not happy. Are you really that narrow minded?
