Hi guys! I finally got my digital camera, and I've managed to get a picture onto a disk and then onto my computer. (I got a Sony Mavica). But now I don't know about the URL stuff and how to get my picture onto the web so I can put it in eBay to use for an auction. I warned you guys that I was going to start selling! Can anyone help, in very simple to understand steps? If you would rather e-mail me, I'm at [email protected]. Thanks guys! I'll be sitting here waiting.....

don't worry. i'm new to this too. i managed to figure out that you can go to the auction manager tab on auctionwatch and then to the image hosting link. there, you'll see a place to type in your file name (or browse for it) and then just hit the upload button. i think it's easiest when you just do the whole auction from this site using the create option link under the auction manager tab.

Hi guys - it's me again. I'm having problems with copying the picture description and pasting it to eBay. It isn't working. I'm doing it the way Jenniphant said. Also, every time I hit the "back" button, it erases everything I've typed in. I went into Internet Options and re-set the settings according to eBay's directions, but it still keeps happening. I'm about to shoot this computer and I haven't even sold one thing yet! Anyone? Help????

Hi Muriel
Log onto auction watch, from the tab menu click “image hosting”, once you have loaded this page you will see mid page on the right hand side “upload Image” from there you can upload from any file on your computer.

Sorry Muriel
I should have also said, when you click the browse button it will open a window to search for files, chose the file that your images are in, open it and then all you have to do is click on the image name and hit the save button. You would then hit the upload button to post it on AW.

I'm doing all that just fine. But when I try to copy and paste the URL from AW Image Hosting to eBay, it doesn't work. I try pasting it to my browser to check it out, and it doesn't work there, either. Maybe I'll try it here. Hold on and let me try in my next post.

Ok, here is what AW image hosting is giving me to cut and paste at eBay:

What you have there is more than "just" the link to the image, so don't paste it into the "image location" on the eBay template. Paste it into the body of the description.

(The HTML is correct - those are nice-looking roosters.)
