I,m curious..... do they make a small printer that is used just for printing address labels? Several weeks ago I thought I read a thread about such a printer, was I dreaming or what? I just want to be able to print a label conveniently.

ypu they sure do make a printer that is just for printing labels
the larger type or smaller type the labels you would use for this type com on rolls rather then flat sheets.
The factory I work in uses this type of label printer for box labels they can make 100 Identical labels in about 5 mins or less
the printer and a case of these labels will prolly cost a small business a arm and leg but a case of these labels will like 100,000 or 500,000 to the case will last you several life times

There is one available through on of the online postage services---I believe it is estamp.com (whichever one ebay has a link to).

Seiko makes some great printers that also come with windows software. The printer is about $100.

I don't understand - why pay for stick on labels? I use the address server -

I print one address flip the page and print a second one. It takes 15 seconds max to cut it with a big pair of shears and I have a nice checked address with a postal bar code. It costs less than 1/2¢ and can't strip off and gum up the printer. I never have to worry about running out and the extra goes in the shredder to make packing. I would put clear tape over a sticky label to protect it anyway so no extra there. If I need a return address I have one of those self stampers with our business address on it - can stamp on the sheet before cutting, or the box either one.

I also use the cedar address server. I have a Canon BJC-250 Printer and use the Priorty Label from the USPS. Insert the label into the far right side (edge) of the printer feed. Slide the left paper rest up to the label. The label must be positioned so that the wide blue border is on the right hand side when you view it from the front of the printer. I have tried this many times and it works very well for me. Hit print and watch it work!
