I take pictures with a trusty Kodak and put them on disc to put on auctions. I've noticed that, in the final eBay auction, some of the photos have the "click on picture to enlarge image" and others don't. Why can some pictures be "enlarged" and others can't? Does it have something to do with the "editing" I do before putting photos on? It seems that the photos I've "edited" most (ie: moved margins in a lot) seem to be the ones that can't be "enlarged." Thanks for help...

The photos that you "host" at AW have that feature! Most other programs don't! So if you host some at AW & some at "someplace else," then only the ones hosted at AW will have the "Clink to enlarge" feature!

Nope, that's not it..I use AW exclusively for ALL my auctions...Anyone else have any answers? Sometimes, when I've taken a photo of a small item, I "edit" photos by moving the side and top margins in close so the item shows as clearly as possible. Could this be the reason? Thanks again for any insight...
I'm not sure if this is what you mean exactly, but essentially you'd have two versions of the image; one small and one big. You would upload both photos to your hosting space. The smaller image would be the one showing in the auction text, and you would make the picture itself a clickable link so that when you click on it, the larger image would show.

(At least, that's sort of what is inferred in the writeup about "large images" in the Help section here.)

Hi, Blueyes29....Actually, you have pretty much figured out the reason AW sometimes can enlarge and sometimes cant. When you crop your pictures, you have reduced the size below the minimum size for automatic resizing by AW, if you follow what I mean.
I have had this occur many times with items I have reduced in size to lower the overall kilobytes. Hope this helps.

I started out with nothing and still have most of it left.

I have used the picture cd's too. Here's a tip if you want your smaller items to be bigger: When you choose to save the picture I believe you have 3 options (like email, web or something else, I forget what it's called). For items that are larger and you got good and close already, choose the web page option. For the ones where you will need to crop to bring the item closer, choose the last option. After you get all done with your cropping, make sure you view the picture at a 1:1 ratio to see it's 'true' size. If it's too large then, you can resize it down some.
