I realize there are people having issues with paypal right now about logos and verification and I hope they solve them but I for one love Paypal.
I got verified last week and put my little logos on my auctions and have already recieved 4 paypal payments. I only close about 15 auctions a week and the last 4 to close all paid with paypal.
Maybe things are picking up on ebay but the bids have really been picking up a lot for me since I put paypal on my auctions.
I wondered if there would be a difference if I took credit cards and two of my buyers told me they won't bid on auctions that don't take them.
I can't wait for them to go international.
( I really don't want to deal with billpoint or whatever it's called , one baby step at a time for me)

I like Paypal also. I have a verified account with them and have 2 transactions so far. I realize that some people have concerns about paypal and I read these threads to keep up on the concerns. As for the other online Credit Card companies, I too, only take baby steps. You see, I must feel comfortable with this before I go to that!

Before PayPal I was always faced with a trip to the post office to purchase a money order then I could snail mail the money order and in little over a week I could have my item. Now I just click the mouse a few times, and bingo, the work is done. I don't have to even shop around much anymore, the odds are better than 50/50 that the seller accepts PayPal, if they don't then the odds are even greater that someone else is offering the same thing that does accept it, if not on eBay then on one of the other auction services.
As a seller, I'd rather be paid via PayPal than any other method.
All things considered I guess I really like PayPal. But don't love inanimate objects (unless they inflate shhhhhhhh).

Agreed. Hey not that I don't mind paying for a service if it comes to that but you can beat a free service can you.
I just don't understand why all the cry babies continue to whine about Paypal. I certainly understand the issues but hey if you have too many problems with it, use what you were using before Paypal. I still believe that in this high tech age, we can still buy Money Orders, Bank Draft or heck what about cash & checks. They still do exist ya know.

pour me a drink too as I also love paypal!I have used it for months. I have had money transfered to and from my bank account with absolute speed and no problem. I can already have the item mailed before the EOA notice comes out!!!
After paying with paypal, I find it a real pain to now have to mail my payment!
and I wish everyone would get VERIFIED!!!

Yup, yup, yup! After reading their comparison of fees, even the the new Premier and Business account fees aren't bad compared to the competition. Yes, it HAS made life easier, and I do believe that I get more business by acception PayPal payments!!

I cant get over paranoid people. They wont use paypal because it isnt safe, but they will email me (a total stranger) their CC number, mail me money orders and one even mailed me cash. Why this is safer than Paypal, I dont know. I would say that about 8 out of 10 of my customers use paypal and I do about 20 transactions a week. I have cancelled my merchant account which let me accept CC directly. I got tired of paying the annual fee, monthly fee, transaction fee, percentage and having no protection against charge backs.
Thank you for the kind words. If anyone has seen an increase in sales, please let me know. I am interested, in particular, with those using business/premier account features of web accept/instant purchase.
Let me bring the champagne....Yup! I like my PayPal also....Let's drink to that...
