Some credit card companies have that in their security when you sign up. Yes I know of a couple cases where the buyer had it charged back and he had received the item and paypal couldn't do anything about it before the verification process. One seller lost a couple thousand dollars (power seller) in one month.
NO I'm not going to give that info out. It would not be ethical to do so and I would never do so without the sellers permission nor the buyers and I'm not going to ask them for it. If they want to warn others they'll post it themselves.
It has happened on billpoint, on paypal, amazon, yahoo, bidpay (worse place to do business) and other places.
Listen to the nightly news, read eBay's magazine and find out for yourself.

Just curious here. Why do you say that BidPay is the worst place to do business? I use them all the time as a seller and have never had even one problem. The money orders ALWAYS reach my mailbox in 2 to 4 days. I have never had one take even 5 (business) days. Is there something I'm missing? If so, a heads-up would be greatly appreciated.
There is no charge back available to the buyer on BidPay. They purchase a money order from BidPay and that is it. If the money order that BidPay sends is lost they replace it. End of story. The buyer cannot charge back the seller.

Mistake on Bidpay------- another one dang it can't remember the right name now will have to try and find it. They were another pay service kinda like paypal and such and they had it on the news about 3 weeks ago it was a scam place and when found out they changed the name and still in business. Some eBayers are using it no matter what and could care less about the security of it as long as they get their money. I'll dig and find it cause I had almost signed up for it when the news broke and sure enough the news report was true. GOTTA GO FIND IT NOW... I'll let you guys know when I find it. Everyone should be cautious of it. I'm trying to remember which auctions I saw it on. Let me go check.

Although some of the negative statements about online payments could be correct, in court they would only amount to "hear-say", and here, as fragmented information, at best. It is nice to be warned of dangerous situations, but actual, non-bias facts work better..

Dang it it's a place where you pay for your stuff. Thinking here............... placepay........... bidpay...... NO! Still thinking here it's on the tip of my mind but can't quite get it..........place pay...... OH payplace.com........ let me go see if it's there that sounds right .......
Check my links to watch for and it is payplace.com Just tried to go to it and it seems it's no longer active. Maybe they dropped it after the news report broke. I get all this info on CNN and especially CNBC where they report on stocks and such.
I just found a friends auction that has that logo on but also isn't working let me go ask her if she knows about it. Maybe she can update us.

PAYPLACE.COM redirects
Payme.com that's it, they changed it to that I'm pretty sure but not definately sure. Let me do some checking on it. I'm gonna go on CNN and CNBC and see if I can trace back that far when the story broke.
I just checked an auction with payplace.com symbol and in it's html it has a re-direct but can't quite make out the code will have to work on it. Got to get my calculus calculator out to figure out where it's being routed to for sure. By now it's most likely a dead link so they can't be found.
