Hi -

It's Sept 11th. Has anyone had a check this month from half.com, and what period was it for? I see from my account that I have not been paid for anything in August. Would that payment have gone out by Sept 1st? Or do they only pay out around the 15th?

thanks -

keziak: I received a check around September 1st for the period of August 1-15. If the amount due you (including shipping) is over $50 for a period, you will receive a check approximately 2 or 2-1/2 weeks later. It it is less than $50, then they will combine two periods and send the check following that period.

For example:

August 1-15 period you have sales of $47.
August 16-31 period you have sales of $40.
You should receive a check around September 15th for $87.

August 1-15 period you have sales of $75
You should receive a check around September 1st for $75

Have I confused you enough?

Ditto no payments for early August sales.

I understood payments would work the way Dixiebee says, but I have been over $50 in every period and still have only been paid through August 15... I just don't get it!

No, I'm not new to AW -- just took all of your advice and changed from my eBay id!!

Hi Dixiebee - no, you didn't confuse me. You confirmed what I thought. But...where's the check? Guess I'll have to email them.

thanks!

Elfgifu--

That's what dixiebee's example explains--no one has gotten paid yet for items since August 15. The paycheck you received at the beginning of September was for sales from August 1 through August 15. There is always a lapse of two weeks--more if you haven't accrued over $50 worth of sales and shipping.

We'll get paid for sales from August 16-August 31 on or shortly after Sept 15.

Hope that helps!

To all confused people ~ When you go to your account page Half.com now has payments under two headings Payments Pending and Payments History. If you click on those it might help you find the information you are looking for.

HI Nowwhat - thanks! Just to explain why I am confused, the Pending includes an amount for Aug 1-30. I guess I didn't exceed $50 until after Aug 15th, so my next payment will be Sept. 15th, not Sept 1st. I think. I've already made around $100 in Sept so now I'm wondering if I'll get a largish check Sept 15th.

Keziak,

Your check dated Sept. 15 will only include the amount stated on the payment pending page. Since you've exceeded $50 already in the Sept 1-15 period, all your sales and shipping reimbursement for that time will go on a check dated Sept 30.

Murph ~I think I'm beginning to get confused now and it's not even my problem.

However, on the subject of Half.com ~ They made a mistake on the check previous to the one I just received. I contacted them about it and was told the missing amount would be added to my next check. When my next check came it was not included so I e-mailed again and never got a response. I thought it was going to become a major hassle. I was mighty surprised when I got my mail today and got another check from Half.com for the missing amount. I'm very happy with them right now but I don't know how long it will last!
