Could someone help me? If a person has 95 feedbacks with 1 neutral 0 negative how do they come up with an 88? Thank you

Only feedbacks from different user IDs count towards the total. If we had five deals, and I left you five positive feedbacks, only the first would count towards your feedback rating.

I've always thought it was a bit of a ripoff actually. If you have made me happy through five different transactions then you should get five feedbacks that count.

I agree, what diff does it make that its the same person...ebay got their $$ Maybe if a buyers wins more than one auction ebay should only charge us for one.

Because of problems with shill bidding, two buddies could give each other 100's of ratings. With this method of counting each person as only one no matter how many auctions they close, this problem is avoided.

Actually, if I am not mistaken....you may now get a rating point with anyone who you do an auction with, including multiple auctions. I know I did, a few weeks ago. The reason you see:
If a person has 95 feedbacks with 1 neutral 0 negative how do they come up with an 88?
Is before they started this policy, you could give anyone feedback. If I met someone on the wanted board or another board, we could give each other feedback because the item number was not necessary but now it is. Now there has to be an actual auction between the two.

Imsh,
When did this come into effect? My points still don't change when a repeat customer/seller leaves feedback.

I'm with Pharlap. I just completed 3 transactions with a seller I've dealt with before. All 3 show in feedback comments, but my # hasn't changed.
No, I'm not new to AW -- just took all of your advice and changed from my eBay id!!

"Even though a single person can give feedback on the same user multiple times, he/she will be able to affect that user's Feedback Rating by only one point."
