The biggest, baddest solution to this PayPal ProbLem is to NOT USE IT!! It's just NOT worth it! We have to put up with the BS we are subjected to by Ebay---but we don't NEED PayPal. Things were cool BEFORE PayPal came on the scene AND things will be just fine without them.
Remember:
PayPal needs YOU a lot more than you need THEM. Sure, payments may take longer to get to you, just as they used to--or just as they still do for many a user (who chooses not to deal with PayPal). So make your choice. Me? Forget it. PayPal can go take a flying leap.
I have had few problems with regular mail, so F-'em. The trouble they save you is greatly diminished by the aggrivation they create.

This stupid argument that bidders will bypass your auction (without PayPal) to go for one that uses PayPal is unfounded.
MANY items are not similar, especially used items. There are many different variables that dictate what item a bidder picks. They consider price, item condition, shipping cost, seller feedback and so on. Whether or not the seller accepts PayPal is only one factor--NOT neccessarily the deciding one. Plus, there are A LOT of buyers out there, FAR more than sellers.
You'll sell your stuff with or without PayPal. Did you hear? That's with or WITHOUT PayPal.

I will cancel my paypal. Yipee! I am already pointing some of my bidders to these threads. This pretty much does the work of explaining for me. Thanks guys!

You hit the bullseye! The arguments that bidders will go elsewhere are ridiculous.
Everyone says the customers don't care about what the sellers costs are - that is entirely true. But the bidders CERTAINLY care about what their costs are, and all of these Paypal defenders are being shortsighted or disingenuous when they say "just add it to your cost of doing business"!
Well, if you add a built in "Paypal fee" to each transaction, isn't that alot like a "HANDLING" fee? I guess alot of these Paypal sellers will be tacking on a small fee to each shipping amount, or maybe their opening bid amount.
Result? EVERYONE will get to share in the cost of the new Paypal fees, including customers who go to the time and expense of getting a money order.
Do anyone of these sellers think that their bidders are that stupid? My guess is that they are going to find out otherwise.
