Hi, for the last 2 or 3 hours, I have been trying like hell to log into ebay or paypal. For both I keep getting the error message. I can't get into ebay not even their home page. Paypal isn't working either. I have tried paypal.com and x.com and neither is coming up. Anyone know what's going on? I can get into everywhere else on the web but not these 2 sites. At first I thought it was my connection but if I can go everywhere else except these 2 sites then it has to be them. Gawd! I am so frustrated!

When that happens to me, what I do is see whether I can get into eBay by going to major portals and putting EBAY in the search. If Yahoo doesn't work, usually Infoseek does.
Do NONE of your eBay bookmarks work??

Also, you might try the suggestions made by eBay yesterday when their homepage was externally tampered with:

portercm ... Must be us. I can go anywhere online, except eBay and PP. I'm in Wash., DC, using a local provider (Erols.) Could be a local or regional access issue ...?

Radh, Thanks but I still can't get into Ebay or paypal and now I can't even get into Yahoo. WHAT IS GOING ON???? Nothing works at all. Did all the website go wacky or is it just me? I don't know.  Anyone else having any problems besides me?

Junius I am in Maryland and use erols also. If no one else is having problems then it is probably do to erols. Have you tried Yahoo also? I did and can't go there either. But AW is coming in perfect!

Nutspec, thanks for replying. Then it has to be Erols. Guess I will have to check back later tonight or tomorrow then. Thanks everyone and feel lucky your able to surf.

There's a whole buncha FREE isps, which you guys might wanna register at, for BACK UP ISP - for times, like this.
Also, when things get real grim for webtv, I simply go to Surfola.com OR the Anonymizer.com -- and often all problems will disappear, as one is using THEIR browsers to surf.

junius, when you try to go to ebay or paypal and it is trying to load down at the bottom of your screen you will see the little earth icon with Internet next to it. Does it have in parentises (mixed)? Mine does I think that may be the problem.

Hi,
I was having the same problem all morning with PayPal, Xcom. I posted in the partners board hoping Damon or someone might have a clue-no answers, but I can get in now. I am in the NE but not on erols.
