Has anyone else noticed all the eBay cases now being shown on these shows? Not a good thing.

Oh, I don't know about that. Maybe the deadbeats/scammers will see people who've pulled the same tricks they do on there, and get a clue that there ARE penalties for Internet fraud.

A couple of weeks ago I was watching People's Court, and there was a case about Ebay. The seller claimed he didn't get a money order from the bidder, so it must have been cashed by someone else who forged his signature. Well.......they got in a handwriting expert, and lo and behold, it was his signature. So he had to pay the original amount $850.00 back to the bidder.

I'm waiting for the "Pierre" episode when he gets sentenced for KNOWINGLY allowing illegal auctions to continue to be listed and sold on his venue

They repeated that episode today with the guy
having the supposed "forged" money order. What a bunch of crap! The guys signature AND
DL# was on the back of the cashed money order! The seller tried to say that someone got his DL# from the internet somewhere and
put it on the back. Of course the judge didn't believe him.
Sellers like that, make the good ones look
bad. Too bad we don't know what his ebay user
name is.

I missed the beginning of the show - what did
he sell to the guy in the first place for $850?

We had a big scam here in my little town. Mom and 2 sons were selling widgets on ebay only there were no widgets. $25,000 later the feds raided the house and arrested all 3. Of course, mom had no idea what the little darlins were doing! yeah, right!

I think it was a bicycle.
All the shows I've seen the seller was the crook and always lost.

Hey, I love Court TV, but have never seen an ebay case on there. Anyone know if there is one coming up? I'd love to see it.
