Seems like in the last few weeks the ammount of spam "with Ebay bidder" auctions... Hey Ebay Seller... in the header has gone way up.

My second ID is an address that I only use at ebay, and I have been junk mail there to..

Crap like this:

"I found a great new web site: *** They call their concept "Free Auctions" and it's the only place on the Web where you can bid on great stuff and win without paying a cent. They are even auctioning off one of the first commercial trips to space! "

I see more money for Ebay in the future! More lawsuits!!!!

I've noticed a LOT more, weird kooks and get rich schemes - a guy total blathering on about some stock tools CD he had for sale "banned on eBay" - it's a pain in the butt but all I have to do is just delete it.

You have to remember our info is out there for the taking. I'm surprised it hasn't happened before now. But, yes, I am getting the same crap.

I get tons of it! I think the thing to do is to send a bunch of bogus replies to them. Make them waste their time going through the bads one to find good ones. If everyone did that then spam wouldn't work! One time somebody got my email address on ebay and they were sending 3 spam emails per day for about a week. I tried several times to get removed from the mailing list and they kept sending them so I created a 1 mb email and and wrote a program to send it several thousand times filling up their mail box. They stopped the next day!

Most I get will bounce as a bad address but give an 800 number to call. I don't hear well enough to use a phone but there is one on my desk for the wife. I will call while I am working and hang up and hit redial about every 2 or 3 minutes all day long. Before we got privacy manager I trained my wife to just quietly put the phone down and walk away when she got a telemarketing call and allow them to figure out there was nobody there. We had a real estate call and the fellow called back to call my wife a b*i*t*c*h for doing that.
I have held a license myself and knew what to do so I wrote a formal letter of complaint to the State Board and the Broker fired this agent.

I've been getting TONS of Ebay spam! It just recently started, too - I never used to get Spam! Now it's 2-3 emails on a daily basis. I report all of them to Spamcop.net. They've even actually closed down a few accounts that spammed me!

I got a new bidder id on ebay the 17th of Sept. Have done nothing with this but register and bid. Started getting spammed today with all the credit card processing offers.

I have been getting a LOT of spam recently also - and strangely, aside from my 'regular' account - to an account that has not been used in over 3 months (of an adult nature). Both emails have been getting a lot of eBay related spam - almost all have concerned ways to make it 'easier' on the auction seller. Just got one today for a "BANNED CD".

When I branched out from buying to selling on eBay, I found myself in SPAM HELL. I get numerous spam e-mails, all with reference to eBay. It's a pain in the tushie. The best way to deal with it is to click and delete.
