I tried to add info to a current auction using the add information box.
I typed in my user ID and password. I typed in the correct auction #.
I received a message stating I can not change it as I am not the seller!
Well, I double checked my auction # and I am indeed the seller.
Has any one else had this problem and what can I do? Thanks, Lauren

Have you tried using the Update item link that is on the actual auction page? It says "Seller: If this item has received no bids, you may revise it."
Then it goes to another page and there is no need to type in the auction # as it prefills it for you. It also prefills your username and you just type in your password.

My item has bids. I wanted to add a better photograph to the listing.
I finally got it to work. I deactivated my zone alarm and my ad-subtract and it went through without a hitch.
I wonder if there is a conflict between e-bay and these programs.
If anyone else is having problems and has these programs activated, try deactivating while you make changes.Lauren

I am on DSL and the time it would take to do an update could lead to the big trouble if I have to take my firewall down. I would just as soon check my mail with no pants on and hope none of my neighbors were about as to do that.

I wasn't thrilled to deactivate my fire wall. I reactivated it once I had updated my item.
I discovered it through process of elimination. I do wonder if there is a conflict or maybe I had hit a temporary glitch in the system and it cleared up on its own. Lauren
