I have never left a neg and never received one. Six weeks ago I won an auction for some school clothes for my stepson. I wasn't contacted within three days so I emailed the seller and left my address, asked for hers and said I would send a money order that if possible I wanted to get the clothes quickly, I needed to ship to my stepson for school. After a few days I received a response asking for my address again, that it was lost. I sent it again but also reminded her that I needed HER address so I could send the money order. About a week later she sends me her address, so I sent out the money. Then I wait. I end up going to Wal-mart and buying just a few things to tide my stepson over. When I finally asked her for a status she said they had been mailed out the previous week. After all this time I couldn't find my money order receipt and honestly don't remember if I paid for insurance, probably not. Last week I emailed her again and asked for a refund since I had never received the clothes. I was very nice about it. She said she would check on it but I haven't heard any more. I sent her another message last night but I am starting to get annoyed. I read her feedback and she has gotten a neutral recently which I am really wondering about. Okay experts out there, should I give her the benefit of the doubt or what? Thanks for your advice.

Since what you really want is your clothes, depending on how much you paid, maybe try pulling the contact info and giving her a call first. Also, maybe send her one last email using the "send this auction to a friend" option on the auction page. Word it strongly, along the lines of "If I don't hear from you appropriate fb will be left."
My feeling is once you neg someone, they have no desire to try to work things out with you. If the amount was high enough, you might also tell her you will file with ebay's insurance. Were you offered insurance?

I would not leave a negative feedback until I was sure that the situation is hopeless. Negative feedback usually seals a bad deal and might mean that you will be out the money.
Ask the seller what means of postage she used and the exact ship date. If she used delivery confirmation the tracking number would be helpful.
For future reference, *always* insist on delivery confirmation. It provides some proof that the seller has shipped the package and when they have shipped it.
