This is a very strange situation. On 9-21-00 I started to list an auction with the number xxxxxxx with the title: xxxxxxxxxxxx So far so good. I thought it listed, but throughout the week I did not see it show up on my screen. So I figured EBAY must be having one of its outages, (groan) and it just did not get listed! It is a nice item so I relisted it. Tonight I get a EOA that someone won the original aucton, and I cannot see it in my listings! Now I have been on meds for a terrible cold, but I am not nuts! HOW IN THE WORLD CAN SOMEONE WIN AN ACTION THAT ISN'T EVEN THERE??? So since I only had one of these widgets I had to go in and cancel the present one listed. Do I have to pay for listing the second one, when the first one never showed up but someone won it anyway??? Gremlins....it has to be gremlins in my computer. Someone must be seeing my auction because someone by the name of xxxxxxx won it! Why can't I see my own auction? Please help me before I go completly around the bend! Now , just a minute ago I went back , reloaded the page, and there is the auction!!! man oh man, I gotta get offa these meds! What happened? Anyone know? I am NOT goofy, I swear! BTW hubby checked with his computer too and it was NOT there....

There is a glitch wherein occasionally an item will not show up in a seller search or in the seller's MyEbay. The item does get indexed into search and category listings, however.

Cancel the second auction, then write to eBay and explain what happened and that you want the listing fee for your relist refunded to your account.

(By the way, if this happens again, write to [email protected] and ask them to reset your seller list.)

This happens all the time to us. If you listed the auction using Auction Manager you can click through from auction manager and find the auction.

I use the watch feature to watch these auctions and contact [email protected] to have my seller list reset.

I had the same thing happen to me last Sunday. As others suggested, I wrote to [email protected] but they never responded and they never took action. Finally, in desperation I opened the auction page using the link in the e-mail confirmation of listing, and "revised" the page. I didn't make any actual changes, but I went through the steps as if I had. The auction page was indexed into myebay listings after I saved the revised auction page.
