Just got the following e-mail from Billpoint & thought I'd pass it along:
Dear eBay Seller:
Last week we announced lower and re-structured pricing effective October 1.
We are happy to tell you that we "beat the clock!" Your new fees will become effective even earlier, September 28 instead of October 1. So enjoy a few extra days of lower fees on Billpoint -- the eBay way to pay!

When they sent me the email, announcing the fee reductions, I decided to check once again. I emailed their customer service department directly, and asked two questions.
1) Would they still feel free to deduct anything they thought they were entitled to, from my checking account, at whatever time they decided to.
2) Were the horrendous charge-back fees still in effect.
I got a personal email back from one of the customer service reps, and the answer to both the questions was still "YES". I said thanks, but no thanks. Again.

In all fairness to BillPoint, their charge-back fees compared to ProPay's charge-back fees makes BillPoint look like Mother Teresa. BillPoint charges $10, last time I looked ProPay charged $30.

I'm sorry, horrendous was an overstatement. I haven't ever heard of ProPay, but the fact that anybody automatically charges a fee like that, no matter what, still surprises me.
