sure. it's a good place to park books that are just lying around the house. There is no apparent time limit to how long they can be listed, and you don't pay until they sell.
As far as selling large quantities of books -- I'm not the one to ask.

I have sold a few books and CDs on half.com. It is easy to list popular titles because there is a high chance that it is in their database. You see, you can only list items that they have in their database.
If you have a lot of titles, it can you have a lot of time. They have multiple item listing page, so it took me half an hour to list 100 CDs I had for sale. Well, I admit that I can work a 10-key pretty well, so your time may vary.
Listing is free. They give you a shipping allowance to cover the cost of shipping. Their sales commission, I believe is 10%.

No, their commission is 15%. There have been
several threads in this forum about half.com;
read them. Many people are successful there.
