I just noticed that more and more sellers post the description on their auctions on a .JPG format.
This way, when the aucton ends, they just remove or delete the pic, and the winning bidder has nowhere to check in case of foul play (like condition of the item, shipping and handling charges, etc)

Do you think this should be allowed?

I suspect that most of the people who are doing it simply find it convenient to add the information to their pic while they're cropping and putting their copyright notice on it, not that they're doing it with bad intentions.

It's probably not something that can be stopped - but it doesn't seem like a good idea.

They are hurting their auctions because the words in images can't be picked up by the search engines.
