A recent post about shipping ceramic molds got me to thinking about shipping furniture.Any furniture sales people out there? I saw a windsor chair where the shipping was stated as $45,a good chunk of cash if you're buying a reproduction. So what is the best way to ship as well as the safest? I always like to put the price in the ad so there are no surprises. Should I contact freight lines? I'm talking about small tables, chairs and dressers. Obviously I am going to have to leave the 300 pound secretaries in the local listings or the "you pick up" category.

The Windsor chair price sounds about right. You might want to check FedEx. The are now shipping those types of items.
