I need to change my email address on my eBay username. Tried, my email address is taken!! Looked up the user and this person is no longer registered. What can I do?? Would like a phone number to call, oh I don't know, someone!
I know you folks out there have more knowledge than you know to do with (have read these posts often!) Please share some of it.

I have no idea what to do, except to add a 1 or 2 or any number after your chosen name, to separate it from the original..
But using an old, already-used-once name can make things a little confusing: My email starts with yasou2u...Sometime last year, I received a lovely E-Mail from a stranger: "Welcome back, yasou...Where HAVE YOU BEEN!...
I have had that name for over 2 years..
Had to disappoint this nice person

I could be wrong but I think if you write to safeharbor they may be able to help you. That or start a thread on the ebay discussion and help boards>community help>registration board. If you have the email address, it should be a simple matter to prove.

I generally recommend that people do not use an email address for a user id unless you enjoy spam and time-wasting questons. When I changed ISPs, I went with shades for thirty days and I believe that does affect sales. I use a link in my auctions for questions.
