Hi! Due to the recent PayPal changes I have been checking into other alternatives. I have signed up with ExchangePath.com. Has anyone here used them? They take lots of different credit cards as well as Visa/MC Debit cards. Any experiences pro or con? Thanks for your advice. You can either answer here or email me at [email protected] .

I am using ExchangePath now and got my first payment yesterday. I just requested my my first withdrawal, but it's only been less than 24 hours. I'll keep you posted!

I signed up, put it as a payment option in my end-of-auction email (saying let me know and I'll send you the link to use), and received one payment. The buyer didn't ask for the link....he just found the site himself and signed up without my referral---so I didn't get the $5.00 "referral bonus" for signing him up. The money transferred pretty quickly into my bank account without problems.
My only gripe with them is that their LOGOS to put on website and auction listings DON'T HAVE A REFERRAL LINK IN THEM like PayPal's do. If someone clicks on the logo you put in your auction to sign up, you won't get any bonus. The only way you can get the referral credit is if you send an EMAIL TO FRIENDS from the ExchangePath website and the person joins using the link in the email.

Like you, I just added Exchange Path as an option about a week ago, and I've already had 2 people sign up under me and send payments. Requested a bank transfer on Monday, nothing yet but they did say it would take 3 days. One of my buyers was happy to use Exchange Path because they take AMEX. They are also giving a $10 sign up fee, and you don't have to verify a bank account to get it.
Too early to tell for me, so I am curious also about others experiences.

So far, it's been good. I got several payments, they're already credited to my credit card. The only thing is that after about 8 folks signed up, I stopped getting the sign up fees even though I know that others have joined on my referral. Well, I got my $10 plus about $40 more and so far it's free, so I'll keep recommending it over paypal.

Is there anything in the sign-up form or terms of service that require you to be USA resident.
I see that your credit card/check card need to issued by a USA bank--and I am assuming that you need a USA bank account---but I don't see anything that requires you to be a USA resident.
Anybody know???

I still list PayPal as an option in my listings just to pull in the "PayPal only" bidders. But in my EOA's I suggest ExchangePath and PayDirect in that order. I don't even mention PayPal in the TOS.
In the past 5 weeks (since I started doing this), only 6 people have paid with PayPal. Works for me!

Zazzie,
My name is Pam, one of the customer service reps at ExchangePath.
Yes, members must have a US billing address in addition to a US issued credit card and/or bank account to use the service.
Hope this help!

Ran into my first problem already with exchangepath, my withdrawls for 10/3-10/4 were not credited to my debit card. I received an email stating they were having a problem and that the funds would show by 10/10? That's a week from when they were supposed to. Thankfully the amounts were little but not sure if I want to risk this one. JMHO

Sigh, so sad over PayPal. I guess it's time to head over to ExchangePath and check it out.
I've already signed up for PayDirect, too, but haven't received a payment with it yet.

Promote it! Say in your EOA email that Paydirect is your preferred means of payment but you also accept payment by other services (listing them).

Do you get the $10 just for signing up, or only after someone pays into your account?
