Listed an item on ebay and it sold. Well last week both of my sons who are in a gifted and advance program come to me and ask for items to sell at a school garage sale to raise funds for a trip to Europe next summer. So I get a box and the items that haven't sold on eBay I went ahead and put in a box for them to take to the school. I get money in for the item ($1.99 + shipping) and I go to ship the item and it isn't in the "eBay room". OH LORD - I rush to the school and take one look at the items they have for the sale and realize I am never going to find the doorknobs. I screwed up.
So I send an email to the buyer - explained to the buyer what happened - apologized profusely and then sent him a full refund.
What do I get from him - he called me names, a liar and a thief, no wonder children were screwed up today when they were raised by parents like me. He leaves me negative feedback.
I messed up, I admitted I messed up and gave him a full refund, but I don't think I deserved all of this.

I know that chilling feeling when something isn't in the "ebay room"...mine is a cabinet! I had one diamonique ring totally vanish a year ago...never did find it.....I sent the buyer three in exchange with her money back. She was very kind and returned my money stating that I had more than made up for the error, then left me SHINING feedback. But there are some hateful people who have never made mistakes.......
don't let 'em ruin it for you....what goes around comes around....
