They will come nowhere near replacing the usage that they have lost and will continue to lose.
Auction sellers are the ones using the service many times daily. Customers like that are the creme de la creme. This is like Ebay pissing off it's top 10%. Takes bodies aplenty to make up for one of us lost and that's the truth.

I'm sure they've lost some customers, but I'll wager that their member base is continuing to grow. I think one thing PayPal did and deserves a lot of credit for is putting in the 'roads' for other pay services. Some sellers have no reservations about using other pay services like PayDirect, ExchangePath, etc and that's because PayPal came along and showed them such a service was possible. While other pay services don't have the 'problem messages' that PayPal has they don't have a fraction of the usage that PayPal has either. PayDirect has matches on less than 2,000 auctions, ExchangePath has matches on less than 2,000 auctions. A search for PayPal & Barbie has over 12,000 matches!
