I really got a kick out of this one. The customer overpaid, I replied I'll refund the money being you sent it Pay Pal, he replied that's fine as long as you refund the cost of the stamp!!! ROTFL.... OMG what is this all coming too. I wonder if he'll lick the stamp long distance! Hey, maybe I'll ask. True story and too funny!

"if you could send it back to me and take out the price of the stamp that
would be fine.
thank you"

Are the quotes at the end of your message what your buyer sent to you? If so I think he is saying to take the cost of your stamp out of the refund; so if you owe him 1.00, he is saying send only .67.

Valleygirl:

I think Empires plans to do that. That's the point of the thread. Since the buyer paid with PayPal, there is no stamp involved. At least that's the way I read it. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

The first time I read this I had no idea what "stamp" was being discussed.

This time it seems more clear. I think the buyer means that if Empires mails the overpayment back to the buyer, Empires shouldn't have to pay for a stamp to do that since the overpayment was the buyer's fault. Therefore Empire should deduct the cost of a stamp from the overpayment refund.

Yes?

Rainybear: That is how I read the quoted message as well.

You're all right. I guess what I didn't understand was, why he wouldn't figure that I would simply Pay Pal him back the refund which I of course intended on doing (it was my error and full intent to send the refund of his overpayment anyways). But, I didn't get the part about the stamp. In today's technology, using Pay Pal, I would rather "e" send him the amount of refund then a check or money order for the amount under $10.00. Thanks for actually allowing me to see his point, which I didn't get up untill it was cleared up here by others. (Still, I had to laugh). And yes, those quotes were what the gentleman stated to me.

abingdoncomputers- You're exactly correct in your assesment of the situation. Thanks!
