I've been selling and buying on ebay for over 2 years. I recently won an auction for $100. I paid by PayPal as soon as I received his EOA notice and was told he would ship Priority the next day. His feedback was +32. Anyway, a week later and I still hadn't received the package so I emailed him. He apologized-said he lost all my info and said he would express mail and even enclose some extra goodies. Well, true to his word I received the package within the next couple of days. I emailed him, thanked him, and asked if he would post feedback for me and I would gladly do the same. Well, I can certainly understand that maybe he was busy and just couldn't email me back or leave feedback. He has about 100 auctions going of all the same exact thing. Still no word from him. Here's the problem. A week later I received a duplicate package! Was this Thank You gift to me? Do you think if I email him now he'll respond? I would feel guilty keeping the package. Would you?

I somehow don't think this was the "goodie" package he meant. I would email him and tell him, and let him know if he wants to paypal you the return shipping money you would be happy to send it back. Mistakes happen, he is probably just a little busy, and messed up. I would hope someone would do the same for me if I made an error like that. JMHO.

Why do you even need to ask this question ?

Kar,

Yep, send him an email and see if he will paypal the shipping for you to send it back.

Kathy: Sometimes what may seem obvious to one person isn't to another. That is why these boards are here.

No need to belittle someone for asking a question.

I emailed him again and told him I received a duplicate package. Still waiting on a response... I have every intention of returning it-but at his expense!

This happened to me once. I kind of thought it was apropos, because the seller was nasty, nasty, nasty. I didn't think twice about keeping the second package, but when I emailed the seller, she didn't believe me at first. (she would never make a mistake) Then of course, wanted me to send it back. O.k. no problem, but I had to ask her to pay for postage, she didn't offer. 'Well, send me the package and I'll send you the postage.' not! just because she was so nasty. she is on the top of my black list even though she sells what I collect.

He finally replied! He thanked me for my honesty and is sending me a shipping label.
