Ok heres the problem, I have a large framed print, once crated the size is 46" by 50" by 5". the crated weight is only 30 lb. I have contacted UPS, DHL, USPS, Fedex, and Airborne, the best price I have found is Airbore for $76. Any other shipping companies that might be cheaper. Thanks Ed

The price you are getting to ship this Item sounds very reasonable concidering the size of it.
if your item is going to a city or town close to you you might be able to ship it by train have the buyer pick it up at the train station this might be inconveinet for them.

you could check into trucking rates but I think you will find them far higher.

toollady: I am trying to put a max shipping cost in my auction, I know that I could put buyer to ect. But I know this is oversized, and the normal $25 will not apply. Ed

I think Greyhound will ship stuff...seems like there was a thread here about that not too long ago. The buyer will have to pick it up at the Greyhound station, but it might be quite a bit cheaper.

I have sign taped to my monitor that says, "DON'T LIST ANYTHING YOU DON'T WANT TO PACK AND SHIP!!!" Guess why that is there???

Look in Yellow Pages for a freight consolidator. This is a trucking company that will take odds and ends to fill up their cargo space at lower than usual rates. Your customer might have to go get it - but if it's cheap enough, they'll be happy to drive a bit.
