from an ebay software site word for word and in quotation marks
is this ligetimate or is this pirated selling copies of cds with serial number and claiming it is backup educational version
"this is the
XXXXXXFULL VERSION* BACKUP COPY!!!!! For Students and
Backup purposes ONLY
EVERY BIDDER WINS!!!!
This auction is for students only - Full version XXXXXXXXXX
This software is licensed and is the full version -
WILL ARRIVE WITH LICENSE CODE.
All CD's have been tested, and are guaranteed!!! ***
I have 5 copies available...every bidder wins!!!***
Please do not use this software if you plan to make
money with it. This item is worth over xxxxxx dollars,
and since I am selling backup copies of my original
CD, you are getting a great deal!
I have only 3 backups!!! Get them while they last.
Why spend xxx dollars for software when you are using it for
educational purposes?
I am not resposible for what you use this software for,
you are bidding at your own risk on a backup copyof the
original disk - if you are a student or already own this
software (and want a backup) please bid.
No Reserve! 3 days only! Educational Purposes only,
full version software.
Legal disclaimer: All funds are US.
funds unless otherwise stated. It is
not my responsibility to know whether
copied backups are illegal in your state.
I ship to all 50 states. This item is intended
to be sold to current owners of xxxxxxx
I dont know if you already own the software,
all bidders should own xxxxxxx before bidding.
My job isn't to make sure you have a
legal license for this software.
Incase you have lost your code:
I WILL INCLUDE AN AUTHENTIC AUTHORIZATION CODE FOR ALL CD's
SHIPPED! "

hmmm.... I tracked down the auction shown above. The line "I have 5 copies available...every bidder wins!!!***" doesn't exist in the auction text as shown in the original post. The 3 backups comment does.
What I find interesting is that this is not a dutch auction (FB of 1 and multiple auctions not running.) So, how can this guy say he has 3 copies and every bidder wins? What if there are 9 bidders? Interesting.

Back up copies can only be made for the person who purchased the software. It is copywrite infringment to sell them.

It’s definitely a copy and it's illegal unless you posses the original software, then it's OK to have a Burned CD for backup. Another thing, Adobe is actively seeking both sellers and buyers of their pirated software. So beware!

The particular auction you are discussing has been shut down. Lucky for the offender that ebay got to them before Adobe did.
