From the gist of a post on the DNF board(by a Pink), Ebay is saying that IF they did extend auctions it would take an extra 1/2 hour to do so...and that would just add to the down time, so it is better not to extend. What BULL!!! How do you all like that logic?

They would have to run through a four million item database, calculate which items ended during the down time, calculate the new extended ending time, and write the new time to an unknown number of records.

Half an hour sounds like a reasonable estimate.

It isn't logic. It is an excuse, and not a very good one at that.

I say, "So what"??

Go ahead and extend the downtime and at least give me a chance to get my last minute bids! I'd like my auctions extended 1 week. I post at specific times in the week for a reason!

Of course I was being facetious...it's just a way out, another pathetic excuse. Lame doesn't begin to describe their intent.
