Note well the comment about how previous earnings was poor because of their investment in computer systems....

I have found (and yes, I do own ebay stock) that outages have little to no effect on the stock price.
Also, when looking at what a stock is doing you have to keep the overall market in mind. Look and see what is going on with other similar stocks such as Yahoo (which went up today as well).

Their concern for how well their sellers are doing is overwhelming.
