I've just began buying certain items in large quantities and I notice that most people that do this put their auctions up as Featured and Featured category auctions. Do your auctions really get a lot more bids, not just a lot more exposure in this manner? I'd like to get some feedback as to whether I should feature and feature category or just one or the other to my auctions. Note that I am about 99% sure I will be making about $400-$500 on each one of these auctions, so the fee is not a major concern. However, if I sell, for example, 10 CD drives on a featured auction, and one person bids on seven of them and three other people bid on the other three individually, and then the three individuals pay and complete the transaction, but the person that bought seven refuses to pay for some reason. Now I have lost money, and I don't believe I can get my refund back on the Featured auction. Is this a concern or will this rarely happen?

Thanks,
Max

Max
If you are selling several identical items I would not put them all in feature.
You can use Dutch auctions (OR) I would put ONE in feature and reference (in the body of your ad) that you have others listed.
Feature catagory for me definately nets more bids generally. I only use it if I have a unique or high ticket item ($500 plus).
I will say however that you should ALWAYS do research first.
Scan the sections before you list.
Some item catagories are so full of feature ads that it almost is not worth the 25.00 to be there.
Good Luck

Well then Max, I think you are on the right track. Ebay sales are often hit and miss these days.
Never give up. Try different things.
Have fun!

Yeah I have noticed lately some buyer getting crazy with features I found one seller who had like 50 gallery features in the Genral records area and not one of these featured item will every make back the $$ they paid to feature them alone not to mention FVF I dont see how people who list like this can keep going these features are $19 each arent they not $19 to feature all you items in a category right ?????
