Hi again~! I have been having the BEST time with my camera. It is so convenient and I did not think I would like the battery but it last so long and I love not having cords everywhere. Anyway, today my pictures look grainy and a little blurry at the bottom. I can't get it to take a good picture! Has anyone else had this happen. It was fne and now it is either too light or too dark and with a light it still looks blurry and grainy. I have not dropped it or anything... Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if you have then what can I do?
Do you format the disks in the camera or simply clear them with your computer and then put the disk in the camera without formatting it?
Sometimes your disks can be corrupted so you might try a new disk or a different brand and see if that affects the quality.
I know it sounds crazy but when I was using those black disks that you can buy about 1000 for $50 or whatever I got lousy pictures, errors, color distortions, etc. I use the neon Imation disks and get pretty good pictures. I use the camera's format function to clear the disk, etc.
Just some thoughts. Hopefully it's just a disc problem.

How many minutes are you showing? The supplied battery is very limited in it's capacity to maintain full output until discharged and in it's lifespan.
Recommend that you buy one or two NP-F550 batteries. They've got much more lead and give 280 min. on a charge. Picture quality doesn't degrade until they're as much as flat, unlike your NP-F330.

Grainy pix are sometimes due to a lighting problem. Check to make sure the bottom of your subject is getting enough light. Try changing the exposure setting to +1 EV and see if that helps.

Hmmm. I just went looking for those NP-F550 batteries. Will they fit in the BC-V615 charger that came with my FD71? Looked on the Sony website and couldn't find them. Where do you get them? I notice my low battery symbol is flashing when I have say...50 min. to go... This is a NEW thing...seems ominous.

Rechargeable batteries have a quirk: unless you run them ALL the way down, they develop a "block" on the amount of useful power they will release. Continually "topping them off" when they are partially discharged will result in a battery that will only release part of the stored energy.
At least one time in three, run the battery down until the camera absolutely REFUSES to do anything else for you. The slide show feature is great for this, as is shooting a series of flash pictures and keeping the screen lighting on by twiddling with the camera.
